Tamaraws stifle Soaring Falcons for solo lead

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws pulled monster outings from Jude Garcia and JP Bugaoan to overwhelm the Adamson University Soaring Falcons, 25-19, 27-29, 25-19, 25-19, to stay undefeated in Season 80 at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Garcia notched a career-high 22 points off 20 attacks and two blocks while Bugaoan added 19 markers built on 13 attacks and six blocks.

The pair powered FEU’s offense which out-spiked (61-47) and out-blocked (13-5) the Falcons.

Winning their sets convincingly, FEU head coach Rey Diaz remains wary of his team’s focus in close sets, particularly in the second frame against Adamson.

The Tamaraws look to keep their streak going when they face the La Salle Green Spikers (1-1) on Wednesday at the FilOio Flying V Centre.

Middle blocker Pao Pablico topped the Falcons with 20 points. Leo Miranda added 11 markers.

The Soaring Falcons (0-2) also see action on Wednesday, taking the UP Fighting Maroons (1-1).
