In a fantasy match-up, the Idol of Southeast Asia, Terrence Romeo, faced the Fastest Triathlete in the region, Nikko Huelgas. But it was not about who could should more baskets or who can run faster.
The challenge? Who could eat a whole Chooks-to-Go chicken faster!
“Katuwaan lang naman ito e. Pareho naman naming alam ni Nikko na malakas talaga kami kumain ng manok,” said Romeo, who was the leading scorer of Gilas Pilipinas in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup and a three-time scoring champion.
“Inimbitahan lang kami kumain ng lunch tapos biglang tumawag si Boss Ronald [Mascariñas], sabi pabilisan daw kumain ng isang buong chicken,” added Huelgas, who pocketed his second gold in the Men’s Triathlon competition of the Southeast Asian Games last August.
And in this season of giving, the two competed with their favorite charities in mind.
“Ang maganda rito, ang mananalo makakakuha ng isang daang Chooks-to-Go chicken,” shared Romeo
“At kami ang pipili kung saang charity namin gustong i-donate yung one hundred chickens,” furthered Huelgas.
