Incoming chairman vows to continue PBA’s relevance

Incoming PBA chairman Ramoncito Fernandez promised that he and the board of governors will continue to keep the PBA’s heart beating, a despite the hullabaloo surrounding the struggle currently taking place in the Office of the Commissioner.

“We promise that with your support, we will continue to make the PBA very relevant to the Filipinos,” said the former NLEX Road Warriors team governor during the PBA’s 43rd season presser.

The league will raise its’ curtains anew for its’ 43rd serving on Sunday, December 17, as scheduled — just like what chairman Mikee Romero assured in his remarks during the 2017 PBA Press Corps Awards last November 30.

Still, the status of under-fire Chito Narvasa remains uncertain, as to whether he’ll stay as the league’s commissioner. The 54-year-old executive though was present in the press conference.

But despite this, Fernandez made it certain that the 43rd season of Asia’s first pro league will still be exciting for its’ millions of fans.

“There are a lot of plans but we cannot reveal yet,” said Fernandez.

“Definitely, what the board promises you is we will have a more exciting year and we’ll continue to delight the millions of fans of the PBA.”
