Zico shares why Burn X Flash’s offer stood out compared to other INA teams

Almost two weeks after signing with Burn X Flash, head coach John “Zico” Dizon revealed that several Indonesian teams also expressed their interest in signing him prior to his decision to commit to the Cambodian squad.

Aside from the teams that directly reached out to him, Zico shared that he also tried to contact a few MPL Indonesia squads that he’s actually interested in prior to his jump to MPL KH.

“Nasa around three or four ata sila,” revealed the former Nexplay EVOS head coach.

“Some of them [reached out], pero may mga minessage din ako directly. Yung mga gusto kong pasukan talaga.”

After carefully weighing his options, Zico eventually chose the Cambodian squad. The former ONIC PH roamer said that Burn X Flash’s eagerness to bring him in proved to be the deciding factor in the move.

“Madami kasi ako kino-consider na factor and yung offers. Saka medyo matagal sila [Indonesian teams] kausap, siguro marami ring iniinterview na ibang talents,” said the 22-year-old tactician.

“Kaya sobrang napabilis yung process ko dito sa KH kasi sobrang interesado nila sa Pinoy,” he added.

Aside from Zico, Blacklist International head coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza also revealed in an earlier interview that he received feelers from an MPL Indonesia team.
