William Navarro is headed to the Philippine Basketball Association.
The 6-foot-6 all-around forward has signed a two-conference deal with Northport on Monday.
Multiple sources confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
Navarro was the second overall pick in the 2021 PBA Gilas Draft.
The 25-year-old product of Ateneo will make his Batang Pier debut when they take on San Miguel on Wednesday.
For the past three years, Navarro was a full-time Gilas player, playing 13 games and averaging 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.
Navarro previously signed with KBL team Seoul Samsung but could not gain his letter of clearance from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas as he is still contracted with the federation until March 2023.
The Thunders eventually signed Fil-Am Christian David.
Navarro joins a Northport team that is loaded at the frontline. He will join the likes of Arwind Santos, JM Calma, Prince Caperal, Arvin Tolentino, Kevin Ferrer, and, of course, import Prince Ibeh.
The Batang Pier are currently 3-3 in the standings.
With this, the full-time Gilas players from 2020 and 2021 are now playing professionally.
