Will Lebron Lopez make it to OTE’s opening weekend?

Overtime Elite has pencilled in the opening date for its inaugural season.

OTE will host three prep teams in its brand-new facility in Atlanta, Georgia from October 29-30.

The OTE teams consisting of eight players each will face Calvary Christian of Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Phillips of Orlando, and Vertical Academy of Charlotte during those two days.

Each team will then play two games each.

According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation however, Lebron Lopez, the sole Asian in the team, is still in the country and is just waiting for some paperwork to clear up.

Playing against those three prep teams will definitely be added experience for the 18-year-old Lopez as Vert Academy has 11th ranked player in the 2023 class Mikey Williams, Dr. Phillips has 2022’s 38th best player Ernest Udeh, while Calvary has 2022’s 54th best player Taylor Hendricks and 2023’s 14th-ranked player Marvel Allen.

Other international players in OTE are Spain’s Izan Almansa, Puerto Rico’s Emmanuel Maldonado, Belgium’s Nathan Missia-Dio, Dominican Republic’s Jean Montero, France’s Alexandre Sarr, and Romania’s Tudor Somacescu.

The American prospects are Dominick Barlow; Matt and Ryan Bewley; Malik Browman; TJ Clark; De’Vontes Cobbs; Jazian Gortman; Bryce Griggs; Jahzare Jackson; Jalen Lewis; Jaylen Martin; Jai and Tyler Smith; Amen and Ausar Thompson; Bryson Warren; and Kok Yat.
