Star sends 3 draft picks to Globalport for Robbie Herndon

In yet another shocker on the night of the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft Sunday, the Star Hotshots will be trading their first and second round picks to the Globalport Batang Pier in exchange for Filipino-American Robbie Herndon.

The Hotshots are set to ship ninth overall pick Lervin Flores from Arellano University, along with second-rounders Joseph Gabayni from Lyceum of the Philippines University and De La Salle University’s Julian Sargent

The deal was strongly expected to take place, as the six-foot-three Herndon — through a photo posted by Manila Bulletin’s Jonas Terrado on Twitter — was already seen wearing Star’s draft jacket moments after the draft.

Herndon played for Wangs Basketball and Marinerong Pilipino during the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
