Spider-Milez, Brusko headline Fnatic ONIC PH’s lineup for MPL PH 14

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Fnatic ONIC Philippines officially introduced its roster for the highly-anticipated MPL Philippines Season 14.

The announcement, made on Sunday evening, showcases a mix of seasoned veterans and promising new faces ready to make their mark in the inaugural season of the league.

Leading the team will be former Minana EVOS star roamer Brian “Spider-Milez” Santos, who will be the team’s captain, along with the returning Borris “Brusko” Parro, who will act as the team’s reserve player.

Spider-Milez spent his first three seasons under the EVOS banner, playing first in the MDL Season 1 before making his way to Minana EVOS in Seasons 12 and 13.

Meanwhile, Brusko will bring his talents back to the Philippines after a short stint with RRQ Hoshi in the MPL Indonesia last season.

ONIC also signed ex-Minana EVOS EXP laner Jan “Kirk” Gutierrez after the new Team Aurora acquired Minana’s slot.

Kirk was considered one of the top rookies in Season 13 following an outstanding performance that propelled the team to their first-ever playoffs appearance since Minana Esports acquired the Nexplay franchise in Season 12.

The Fnatic ONIC PH lineup will include familiar faces such as King “K1NGKONG” Perez, Duane “Kelra” Pillas, and Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez, who are expected to be the team’s starters together with Spider-Milez and Kirk.

On the coaching front, Anthony “Ynot” Senedrin will take the helm as head coach for Fnatic ONIC PH, with Jeniel “HAZE” Bata-anon serving as the assistant coach.

The upcoming Season 14 marks Ynot’s second stint as a head coach for ONIC, while HAZE, who previously coached Minana EVOS during MPL Season 12 before returning as a player in the subsequent season, is now back in a coaching role.
