Santiago-Manabat joins Paat in Nakhon Ratchasima


Mylene Paat got a much-needed reinforcement for the second round of the 2021-22 Volleyball Thailand League.

Dindin Santiago-Manabat, a teammate of Paat in Chery Tiggo, has signed with Nakhon Ratchasima for the remaining part of the tournament.

According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, the 28-year-old Santiago-Manabat made the decision to play as an import for the Thai club. This, following the postponement of the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

The 6-foot-2 spiker will fly to Thailand on Saturday evening, according to the source.

Santiago-Manabat will make her debut on Sunday, February 6 when they face Nakornnont at 11:45AM.

With the VTL ending early March, both Santiago-Manabat and Paat will still make it for the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

This will mark the return of the two-time V-League MVP to the international stage.

During the 2018-19 season of the V.League, she played for Toray Arrows. A year later, she joined Kurobe AquaFairies.

Santiago-Manabat becomes the fourth Filipino that is playing overseas for this season. She joins Paat, her sister Jaja (V.League’s Saitama), and Kalei Mau (Athletes Unlimited).
