Despite losing their first match, DLSU was able to rally back and win the next 4 against UE. Their victory was so decisive that the only sets they lost were the 2 that gave UE their lone win.

Rochelle started the bout strong with an early 8-3 lead during the first set. She was unable to maintain her composure though, when San Ignacio rallying and scoring 8 straight points to take the lead 14 – 18. San Ignacio would proceed to take the first set, 17 – 21. Andres would be able to retake the momentum when she blitzed through the start of the 2nd set to lead 7 – 2. Things would start to get tense and San Ignacio would be able to close the gap 20 – 19, but would eventually fall to Andres, 21 – 19. The third set would be a much closer affair as San Ignacio was able to take the early lead 5-2, but would see Andres tie the game eventually at 8 all. The game would eventually lead to a 21-point tie which would be broken by a San Ignacio score, but Andres would put the nail on the coffin as she scored 3 consecutive points to win the game, 24 – 22.

Unlike the first match, which proved to be a nail-biting affair, the 2nd single would end up becoming a blow-out. The first set would be relatively close at the start, with Gatpolintan eventually taking the lead 13 – 15. Unfortunately, she would be stunned by the ferocity of Rivera’s counter-attack, as Rivera would score 8 straight points to win the first set, 21 – 15. The second set would seem like a continuation of the first, as Rivera would hold her opponent to only 8 points as she won, 21 – 8.

The first set was tied early at 2 points apiece. This would prove to be the only tie of the set, as the pair from DLSU would score 4 straight points and never look back. The DLSU pair would eventually double the score of their UE counterparts, 18 – 9. Leonardo and Montilla would eventually win the first set, 21 – 12. The UE duo would put up a better fight during the second set, taking the early lead 3 – 5. However, Montilla would score 6 straight points to take the lead for good. DLSU would win the second set, 21 – 16.

The duo from UE would take an early lead, 2 – 5, but the pair from DLSU would slowly chip away at the lead, and finally take the lead for good when they went up 14 – 12. They would then go on an 87– 2 run to finish the first set at 21 – 14. With the score tied at 2 during the 2nd set, Kristelle Salatan would single handedly score 6 straight points to take the lead, 8 – 2. They would eventually go up by as much as 8 points with the score at 17 – 9. Gatpolitan would try to rally her team back by scoring 4 straight points, but the UE squad were unable to maintain their momentum, and fall 21 – 17.

DLSU 4 – UE 1 (DLSU wins)
The first set would be quite a close match, as both competitors would trade points and leads. Rosal would take the early lead with a score of 1 – 3. Peligrino would then score 2 consecutive points to tie the game, but Rosal would counter with 2 points of her own. This would continue until the score is tied at 11 apiece. With the scored tied at 15 all, Peligrino would score 4 straight points to take the lead for good. She would then go on to win the set, 21 – 17. There would be no stopping Pelegrino as she would continue her hot start of the first set, scoring 5 straight points at the start of the 2nd set. Rosal would not be able to recover from this torrid outburst, as she would lose, 21 – 12.
