Rhenz Abando being courted by two schools

Rhenz Abando’s eye-popping debut season for University of Santo Tomas has turned heads.

But apparently, he has also caught the eyes of other UAAP member schools.

Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation have told Tiebreaker Times that Abando is being courted by two schools even in the midst of the season.

According to another source, this had been going on since Abando’s D-League stint with UST. Several coaches have already spoken to him regarding a transfer.

This led to Abando’s benching during UST’s game versus UP on Wednesday.

The native of Santo Tomas, La Union — who transferred from Philippine College of Science and Technology in Pangasinan — is averaging 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks so far.

Ayo and school officials are set to meet Abando later this week to discuss his future in UST.
