The Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors have worked feverishly to find a replacement for injured import Edina Selimovic. All they need is a bit of cooperation again with the processing of her International Transfer Certificate.
According to Pocari Sweat team manager Atty. Eric Ty, Pocari Sweat have been in talks with former Alabama star Krystal Rivers to come in for the home stretch of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
Ty adds that they have already communicated with the International Volleyball Federation’s (FIVB) Carlos De Asis and USA volleyball’s Carla Hall. Both have agreed to issue an ITC and are just waiting for someone to initiate the process on Pocari Sweat’s end.
“Carlos de Asis of FIVB told us via email that he sees no problem with issuing an ITC at this point. Carla Hall of USA Volleyball was also more than willing to help us get Crystal over here and play,” Ty told Tiebreaker Times.
Pocari Sweat now have to rely on the Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas Inc. (LVPI) to start the ITC process. Ty has been in contact with LVPI acting president Peter Cayco, who is working on the certificates manually.
In the past, LVPI has had problems accessing the ITC system. Ty trusts that getting certificates this time around will not be as tedious.
“Mr. Cayco says that the LVPI had a problem accessing the system earlier today. Still, I trust Mr. Cayco can get it done,” Ty added.
