The PBA is reviving the Draft Combine after three years.
The league on Sunday announced that the two-day event will be held on May 11 and 12 at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong.
It will be the first Combine since 2019. None was held both in 2020 and 2021, no thanks to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The league tried to bring it back last year prior to the virtual Season 46 Rookie Draft, but restrictions due to the health crisis made it impossible.
Teams invited aspirants for private workouts instead.
The Combine’s first day is for anthropometry tests, where the players’ height, weight, vertical leap, among others, are measured for record purposes.
The final day will see all applicants spread out to 12 teams and play in a mini-tournament, where a champion and Finals MVP are named.
Seventy-five players threw their names in this year’s Rookie Draft, led by Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Jeremiah Gray, and Justine Baltazar.

All participants in the Combine are required to undergo health and safety protocols, including antigen testing before the start of the event.
The event will start at 7:00 AM on Wednesday and 6:00 AM on Thursday.
The league will then release the final list of eligible applicants on May 13.
The Season 47 Draft is on May 15 at Robinsons Place Manila.
