ONIC scores stunning sweep of RRQ Hoshi, moves on verge of M3 Grand Finals

ONIC Philippines is now a win away from entering the M3 World Championship grand finals.

This, after the Filipinos pulled off a huge come-from-behind win to seal its 3-0 sweep of Indonesian favorites RRQ Hoshi in the upper bracket semifinals at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday night.

ONIC Philippines will take on the winner of the BTK-EVOS SG match in the upper bracket finale.

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol was in the middle of it all, showcasing his superb assassin skills in the Game One and Two victories which put ONIC PH with a 2-0 series advantage.

The former Blacklist core, who played his signature Lancelot, posted a perfect 8-0-8 KDA line in the dominant 19-7 opening win which lasted for 13 minutes and 57 seconds.

When RRQ Hoshi kept it close in Game Two, Kairi once again came to the rescue — taking charge in the 10-17 win in Game Two in 22 minutes and 23 seconds.

He ended with three kills, two deaths, and six assists.

ONIC PH then completed a come-from-behind 15-15 win in Game Three to pull off the sweep.

Kairi was once again named MVP with six kills and six assists against one death on Natan in the 28:30-minute match.

RRQ slid down to the lower bracket and will fight for tournament life against Blacklist International.

The upper bracket finals will be on Saturday.
