Blacklist International team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna said that the arrival of Salic “Hadji” Imam gave the team the luxury to explore other schemes in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.
“Siguro one of the biggest additions talaga niya is yung mas nakakagamit kami ng mga hero na hindi namin magamit last season,” said OhMyV33NUS after the team’s 2-1 win against ECHO.
Hadji has since filled in the roaming role, taking over from resident Blacklist International tank Mark “ESON” Gerardo to start the season. But the ‘KDA Machine’ proved that he can easily slide to the support role if needed.
In Blacklist International’s three-game series against ECHO, Hadji showcased his versatility by playing Kagura in the first two games before capping off the series win with an unorthodox tank Martis pick.
“Dahil nga mas nalilimitahan yung hero pool namin before and alam naman nating kung gaano ka flexible si Hadji so sobrang nakakapagadjust siya.,” said the MPL champion.
OhMyV33NUS led the Game One win with well-timed initiations on his Kaja, but ECHO came back with vengeance on Game Two on the back of Mark “Hadess” Lazaro’s raging Lancelot.
Blacklist International, though, took the series win after overcoming a mishap in Game Three to turn back ECHO for their fourth-straight win in the tournament.
The Tier One-backed squad is now at the second spot with nine points through a clean 4-0 record.
Blacklist International will go up next against the struggling Bren Esports on Saturday at 8:00 PM.
