Nexplay arrests four-game slide, keeps Cignal grasping in MPL-PH

Nexplay Esports snapped their four-game losing skid at the expense of winless Cignal Ultra, 2-1, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Sunday evening.

James “Jeymz” Gloria’s Benedetta carried the fight for Nexplay Esports in Game Three. He finished with a perfect 8-0-1 stat line in the 29-7 win en route to the Smart MVP plum.

Jeymz found himself ambushed by Jhones “RHEA” De Leon (Chou) and Jefferdson “Kekedot” Mogol (Natalia) on the top lane. But he managed to survive the attempt and eventually, kill both RHEA and Kekedot.

The rest of the Nexplay squad then completed the five-man wipe in the middle lane to seal the match.

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera’s early rotations with his Jawhead in Game One made life hard for the Cignal contingent. This also allowed Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse’s Claude to scale as early as possible, taking the burden off John Paul “H2wo” Salonga’s Harley.

That proved to be enough, as Nexplay Esports bagged Game One in dominant fashion, 15-13. The whole encounter lasted just 11 minutes and 15 seconds.

RENEJAY was named the Smart MVP with a game-high 10 assists along with two kills and a death.

Bensanity nabbed the Smart MVP award with a game-high 11 assists in the 12:12-minute match.
