Myla Pablo had no regrets following Petro Gazz’s Game Two loss to Creamline in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference finals.
After all, Pablo knew that the Angels left it all out on the court last April 8.
Alam namin na binigay namin yung best namin this game.”
Unlike Creamline which kept its core intact, Petro Gazz had a number of new recruits to fill in for the 2022 Open Conference. And for the 28-year-old spiker out of Tarlac, that proved to be one of the key factors in the series.
The Angels gained a twice-to-beat incentive in the quarterfinals after finishing second in Group B with a 2-1 standing. The team then dispatched F2 Logistics in the quarterfinals to enter the semifinals.
There, Petro Gazz almost suffered elimination after losing Game One against the unbeaten Cignal. Pablo then came alive in the next two games to seal the team’s ticket to the finals via reverse sweep.
After seeing the team’s potential last conference, Pablo hopes that they can iron things out for the next conference. She is also dead-set on giving the Petro Gazz management their much-deserved championship.
“Siguro next conference kailangan pa namin mag palakas as a team, kailangan naming mag-work out nang maayos and mabuo pa yung team namin lalo,” said Pablo.
“I hope next conference mabigay namin sa management yung championship.”
