RSG PH made quick work of Nexplay EVOS, 2-0, in MPL Philippines Season 10, Sunday at the ICITE Auditorium.
The reining MPL champion took the early advantage in Game One all thanks to Clarense “Kousei” Guzman (Beatrix) and Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo (Uranus), who scored a combined five kills and three assists which put their side ahead by as much as 6K in gold in the 9th minute.
RSG PH never looked back, with their gold lead ballooning to 13K before securing the win at the 17th minute.
Kousei topped the kills department with four to go along with an assist while Nathzz had two kills and two assists in the 9-4 Game One win.
Riding the crest of its Game One momentum, RSG PH flat-out dominated Nexplay EVOS in Game Two to get its third win of the tournament in five outings.
Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto (Fanny) posted six kills and four assists without a death while Kousei poured nine kills and four assists against one death in the lopsided 21-3 Game Two win in 14 minutes and 29 seconds of action.
“This time, kung titignan mo sa stats ano e, sobrang disiplinado nila. Parang ‘di nila binigyan ng any break yung NXPE. I’m glad na kahit late yung resulta, they played their A game,” said RSG PH assistant coach Karl “Giee” Barrientos.
The defending MSC winner upped its record to 3-2 while Nexplay EVOS dropped to 0-4.
RSG PH will face ECHO on Saturday at 4:00 PM while Nexplay EVOS looks to get out of its slump against Bren Esports on the same day at 6:00 PM.
