Mike Harris is set to return to Alaska for the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, sources have told Tiebreaker Times.
The reigning Best Import will be coming back to settle some unfinished business after his Aces lost to Romeo Travis and the Magnolia Hotshots in last season’s championship battle.
Harris had already expressed his desire to come back to the Milkmen after losing to Magnolia as his way of giving back to the team who had wanted his services ever since 2010.
“They chased me for eight years so it’s my turn to chase them for a few months now,” Harris was quoted as saying last year moments after their Game Six loss. “If they’ll have me back, I’d love to be.”
Harris averaged 29.6 points, 20.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks last year as he helped the Aces reach the Finals after six conferences, or since the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup.
Harris, 36, is coming off a stint with Al-Muharraq, whom he helped become the Bahraini Premier League champions.
