Markyyyy on Geek Fam transfer: ‘Gusto ko ipakita na di ako pang-6th man’

Fresh off his recent transfer announcement, Mark “Markyyyyy” Capacio looks extra motivated as he embarks on a new journey with Geek Fam for MPL Indonesia Season 12.

“Sobrang ganado ako ngayong Season 12 dahil di ako nakalaro nung nakaraang season. Gusto ko ipakita na di ako pang-6th man,” Markyyyyy told Tiebreaker Times in an exclusive interview.

The 24-year-old goldlaner was limited to the dugout when BTR was eliminated by Alter Ego early in the Season 11 playoffs as the team opted to go with Dicky “Saken” Cahyana. He shared the goldlane assignment with the Indonesian during the regular season.

He will have a familiar ally on his side as he tries to hit the ground rolling with Geek Fam skipper Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy, his former teammate when he finished as the runner-up in the M3 World Championship with Onic Philippines.

Markyyyyy can’t help but be excited about the upcoming season after reuniting with the reigning MPL Indonesia Best Roamer.

“Masaya ako na makakasama ko ulit si kapitan Baloyskie. Siguro ang nilolook forward ko yung dati namin ginagawa nung Onic (Philippines) days pa lang. Yung pagshe-share namin sa isa’t isa ng mga nalalaman namin tungkol sa laro,” said Markyyyyy

Geek Fam is coming off a breakthrough Season 11 where they secured their first-ever post-season appearance. However, they suffered a stinging 3-2 reverse sweep against eventual runner-up Evos Legend in the play-ins, settling for 5th-6th place.

“Malaki expectation ko (sa paglipat ni Markyyyyy) kasi yung last season kulang ako katulong mag isip e. Yun yung isa sa kaya ibigay ni Markyyyyy. Tapos excited rin ako kasi syempre itatama namin mga mali namin dati nung magkasama kami,” said Baloyskie on his thoughts about the addition of Markyyyyy to Geek Fam.

“Babalik kami sa Pinas hindi para umuwi. Sana para sa M5.”
