M5: See You Soon dominates Burmese Ghouls in LB playoff

Cambodian representatives See You Soon was an image of domination as they waylayed Burmese Ghoul en route to a 3-0 demolition in the lower bracket of the M5 World Championship Knockout Stage at the EVM Convention Center in Quezon City on Monday.

It was a tremendous bounce back win for SYS after two consecutive losses at the hands of Onic Esports and AP.Bren.

“In the past few series, we couldn’t fight with our full potential because we were pressured or we were really overthinking. In the series against Burmese Ghouls, we just let our instincts and our mechanics take over, that’s why we won comfortably,” said Filipino Import Michael “MP The King” Endino of their win over Burmese Ghouls.

“I think the performance of Burmese Ghouls was also good but we just prepared well and that’s why we dominated them.”

MP The King (Martis) went on rampage in the opener and finished with a 9-1-7 KDA while Sovann “Raa” Chanmakara (Valentina) took the spotlight in Game 2 as the Cambodian squad reached match-point, 2-0.

In Game 3, Burmese Ghouls managed to keep it close but after SYS secured the first lord objective at the 9th minute, the Cambodian representatives turned it into a rout with Raa (Valentina) leading the way thanks to a stellar 6-0-5 KDA.

See You Soon will be facing the loser between Onic Esports and Deus Vult to fight for a spot in the lower bracket semi-finals.
