Spamming the recall button has been a form of trash talk in the Mobile Legends community for a long time now.
But for Execration super rookie Duane “Kelra” Pillas, it means much, much more.
A few months back, Kelra’s explosiveness in the side lane made him one of the top players outside the MPL arena.
Ranked game boys, as MPL players call them.
During his time in public games, Kelra had a run-in with Nexplay Esports star Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse wherein the former began to hit the recall button countless times in front of the latter.
But RENEJAY’s response to Kelra right after, as he believed, was uncalled for. So, the 16-year-old prodigy out of Muntinlupa decided to use that as motivation, fueling him to become the player that he is today.
Through sheer hard work, Kelra finally made it to the MPL. He was part of the new-look Execration squad in the league’s seventh installment.
And just this Thursday, he finally claimed vengeance on his rival.
Through Kelra’s insane Khaleed performance in Game Three, Execration was able to take a 2-1 victory over Nexplay Esports — his first official MPL game against RENEJAY.
And he made sure right away to let RENEJAY know that he has bragging rights over him.
“Renejay malayo agwat natin sa laro, hindi mo ko kaya tatak mo sa ulo mo ‘yan,” Kelra wrote on his Facebook post.
“Wala talaga, kala ko ba dudurugin mo ko sa MPL? Napakatanga mo talaga. ‘Pag ikaw talaga katapat ko free farm palagi sa lane napakatanga mo.”
Kelra was Execration’s one-man clean-up crew in the series-clincher, finishing with nine kills and seven assists against two deaths.
And he will get the chance to two-up RENEJAY when Execration face Nexplay Esports anew on May 7, Friday.
