Fazekas, Kawasaki deal Ravena, San-En 40th loss in B.League

Thirdy Ravena could not get that elusive win since returning last Wednesday as San-En fell to Kawasaki anew in the 2020-21 B.League elimination round, 77-87, Sunday at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

Coming off a four-point, three-rebound, and two-steal game yesterday, Ravena finished with a better line of six points on 2-of-7 shooting with five rebounds and three assists.

NeoPhoenix, who were dealt a 74-103 beating yesterday, also had a better showing but it was not enough.

Down 52-67 entering the final stanza, Ravena, Stevan Jelovac, Singo Okada, and Tatsuya Suzuki joined hands in a 15-7 spurt to cut the lead down to just seven, 67-74, midway through the quarter.

Nick Fazekas though dominated in the endgame, handing San-En its sixth straight loss.

Fazekas had 32 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists to power the Brave Thunders to a 35-15 slate.

Pablo Aguilar had 12 points and 12 rebounds while Jordan Heath tallied eight points and nine rebounds.

Kyle Hunt paced NeoPhoenix with 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting to go along with six boards. Jelovac had 13 markers as well.

San-En fell to 11-40.

Up next for San-En is Shiga next weekend.
