Jeymz reunites with Yawi at Team Liquid Indonesia

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

James “Jeymz” Gloria looks to continue his esports career with Team Liquid Indonesia as he reunites Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera for the upcoming MPL Indonesia Season 14.

The move was announced on Wednesday evening, following Team Liquid Philippines’ confirmation of Jeymz’s departure from their roster.

Their Indonesian counterpart officially welcomed Jeymz as a new member through their social media channels.

This transition marks a significant shift for the 20-year-old player, who has spent the past three seasons with Team Liquid’s MDL team.

During his tenure with Team Liquid, Jeymz played a crucial role in leading ECHO Proud (now Liquid ECHO MDL) to back-to-back championships in MDL Seasons 1 and 2.

Despite a strong performance, the team fell short in the third season, losing a closely contested grand final series against RRQ Kaitro and settling for second place.

Jeymz’s journey in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML) began in MPL Philippines Season 7 with Nexplay EVOS.

He quickly became a key starter alongside Yawi, Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse, John “H2wo” Salonga, and Dexter “Exort” Martinez.

However, the team was unable to secure a playoff spot that season.

His sophomore season with Nexplay EVOS was the highlight of his career, achieving a fourth-place finish.

After taking a break during MPL Season 9 due to personal reasons, Jeymz returned in the following season, achieving the same fourth-place result.

In addition to his local success, Jeymz has gained valuable international experience.

He represented his team at the World Cyber Games 2023, the Kohai SEA Championship Season 2, and the Philippine Qualifiers for the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 5.
