Team Liquid Philippines officially welcomed Rodel “Arsy” Cruz as their new coach on Friday evening, just a day after Falcon Esports bid him farewell.
Arsy played a crucial role in Team Falcons’ strong performance during the M6 World Championship, where they secured an impressive 5th-6th place finish.
The 29-year-old coach began his career on a high note, leading the Myanmar-based squad to victory in the MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2024 – Myanmar Qualifier.
Under his guidance, the team delivered a dominant 4-0 sweep against the Burmese Ghouls in the grand finals.
Despite their early success, they fell short at the main tournament, finishing in the 5th-8th bracket at MSC 2024.
This new chapter for Team Liquid Philippines comes after parting ways with their previous coaches, Ronnel Espinoza and Eric “Cyre” Mercader, on December 5 and 29, respectively.
Arsy will now work alongside head coach Harold “Tictac” Reyes to steer Team Liquid Philippines in their campaign for the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC – Challenge Season, which kicks off on January 6. Their first match will be against RRQ Hoshi at 11 p.m.
They will also compete alongside other Filipino teams, including Falcons AP.Bren, Fnatic ONIC Philippines, Aurora, Blacklist International, and Lazy Esports, in this highly anticipated tournament.
