EMANN figures in freak accident prior to RSG-Bren match

RSG PH gold laner Eman “EMANN” Sangco figured in a freak accident which caused him to miss RSG PH’s match against Bren Esports on Friday night.

In the post-match interview following the team’s quick 2-0 win against Bren Esports, Clarense “Kousei” Guzman – who filled in for EMANN – revealed that RSG PH’s starting gold laner slipped in the bathroom. That caused a minor injury to his right wrist.

Kousei also shared that EMANN is already doing okay but still cannot play at a hundred percent.

“Nainjured yung right hand ni EMANN, yung right wrist. Sa banyo nadulas.

“Okay naman siya, ‘di naman malala pero hindi lang siya makapaglaro nang maayos,” said the former TNC standout.

EMANN is the second player from the RSG PH lineup to go down after starting support Arvie “Aqua” Calderon suffered from a fever two weeks ago. Aqua played his first game back against Bren Esports – replacing Dexter “Exort” Martinez, who played stellar in the team’s past two games.

On the other hand, Kousei, who finally made his RSG PH debut on Friday, made sure to make the most out of his first start.

He delivered a game-high seven kills in Game One along with three assists on Beatrix to lead the 15-5 win that put RSG PH at a 1-0 advantage.

Then, in the second match, Kousei once again flourished on Beatrix, putting up another game-high seven kills along with three deaths and two assists to cap off the series with a 9-5 win.

“Masaya naman pero hindi pa ito yung pinakamalakas.”
