After hosting a successful first season of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition,” ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong is looking for his next protege.
He recently revealed on social media that his search for 10 global candidates for Season 2 of the award-winning show is underway.
As with Season 1, the winner of the second airing will win a US$250,000 job offer to work under Sityodtong at ONE’s headquarters in Singapore.
“The prize is much bigger than just US$250,000 for the winner. As your mentor, I am going to teach you how to do good in the world by following your heart and chasing your dreams,” Sityodtong said.
“Additionally, I am going to show you how to make more money than you ever imagined possible through my win-win philosophy. Finally, I am also going to share the invaluable lessons and IP on how my team and I built one of Asia’s hottest unicorns from scratch.”
Two Filipinos – Louie Sangalang and Lara Pearl Alvarez – made the cut in the first season, with Sangalang making it all the way to the finale only to finish second to “Apprentice” winner Jessica Ramella.
The first season was filled with a lot of dramatic and exciting moments that one would expect from an “Apprentice” show, but what made it a cut above the rest was the inclusion of the physical challenges.
Some of the greatest martial artists in the world appeared on each episode to push the global bunch, including legends like Georges St. Pierre, Rich Franklin, and Renzo Gracie, among others.
Current ONE superstars Angela Lee, Demetrious Johnson, and Sage Northcutt also made appearances.
The inclusion of the physical tasks added a fresh twist to the already successful franchise, and it paid off in a big way, as the show bagged accolades at the Asian Academy Creative Awards ceremony last year.
“The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” won Best Non-Scripted Entertainment and Best Adaptation of Existing Format awards before making a splash on Netflix.
