Dwight Ramos and Toyama completed their weekend sweep of Hiroshima in the 2021-22 B.League season, taking an 89-75 win, Sunday at Toyama City Gymnasium.
The win capped an impressive month for the Grouses, who went 5-3 for the month to raise their slate to 13-19.
Takeshi Mito and Julian Mavunga powered the second quarter breakaway for Toyama, scoring six apiece during that span to give the hosts a 40-30 lead.
Brice Johnson and Joshua Smith then took turns in pounding the Dragonflies in the third canto. The lead ballooned to as much as 22 points, 62-40, with 3:40 remaining in the quarter.
The Grouses maintained a double-digit lead to close out the game.
Johnson led the charge for Toyama with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Meanwhile, Smith also got a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Mavunga also tallied 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Ramos did not need to do much, playing just 20 minutes for six points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Hiroshima went down to 18-13.
Nick Mayo led the way for the visitors with 16 points. Charles Jackson and Thomas Kennedy got 13 and 12 points, respectively. Jackson and Kennedy also grabbed seven rebounds each.
Up next for Ramos and the Grouses are Shimane on Wednesday at Toyama City Gymnasium.
