A day after throwing his name into the upcoming 2021 PBA Rookie Draft, Andre Paras went to social media to respond to the critics of his decision.
“Don’t hate on someone chasing their dreams just because you didn’t pursue yours,” the 25-year-old forward tweeted.
This as comments on social media questioned the cager-turned-actor’s decision to enter the stacked draft.
There were some comments asserting this was just a publicity stunt by the son of Benjie Paras, putting him in the same breath as some nuisance draftees from the past.
“Comedy ba to?” one of the many comments on Tiebreaker Times’ comments section read about the star of drama comedy series Love You Two.
Many people, though, are forgetting that Paras can definitely ball.
Every time he played for AMA Online Education in the D-League, the 6-foot-5 undersized power forward would easily grab double-digits in rebounds.
Moreover, his dedication to basketball is unparalleled, as he always made time to suit up for the Titans despite his hectic schedule.
“If you love what you do, go for it because we are young and we have opportunities na minsan lang makarating sa ‘yo e,” he once told Tiebreaker Times.
Yes, despite being a successful actor, Paras’ true love remains the same – basketball.
