KUALA LUMPUR — RSG PH gold laner Eman “EMANN” Sangco entered the 2022 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup with a chip on his shoulder.
Back when RSG PH won the MPL Philippines Season Nine just a month ago, four of its starters namely Dylan “Light” Catipon, Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto, Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo, and Arvie “Aqua” Antonio were named to the tournament All-MPL five.
Omega Esports star Duane “Kelra” Pillas filled in the gold lane role which left EMANN as the only RSG PH starter not named to the Mythical selection.
EMANN, just moments after being named the tournament Most Valuable Player of the 2022 MSC, told Tiebreaker Times that the All-MPL team snub was one of his main motivations entering the regional tilt.
“Naging motivation talaga yun sakin,” said EMANN.
EMANN admitted that he got hurt by the non-inclusion but believes that Kelra deserves the citation for the stellar performance that he put up for Omega Esports all throughout Season Nine.
Still, he had no regrets at the time, knowing that he gave everything he could for the team.
Using the snub as his personal motivation, EMANN dazzled in the tournament and notched a total of eight MVP awards in 23 games played. He also led RSG PH to a tournament-best 6-1 record throughout MSC.
