Alas Men rally from 0-2 vs Vietnam, clinch SEA Games bronze

On the verge of leaving empty-handed, Alas Pilipinas Men staged a thrilling comeback from a 0-2 deficit to overpower Vietnam, 23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 16-14, and secure a hard-fought bronze medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games on Friday at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.

Following back-to-back fifth-place finishes in 2021 in Vietnam and 2023 in Cambodia, the Philippines finally returned to the podium, earning their first medal since the historic breakthrough in 2019.

This achievement marks the Philippines’ sixth bronze—and eighth overall medal—in the indoor men’s volleyball tournament of the biennial meet.
