Jaydee Tungcab gets a fresh start after signing with Converge.
The 6-foot-3 guard joins the FiberXers as a free agent, relieving the Blackwater Bossing of the obligation to pay the remainder of his salary.
Tungcab had been sidelined for a year after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee during Blackwater’s game against NorthPort on April 25, 2025.
He played a total of 13 games last season, averaging 7.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals.
Now, he moves to his third team in the PBA.
Drafted fourth overall in the special Gilas draft of 2021, Tungcab spent his first two years with TNT.
In February 2024, he was part of a three-team trade involving NLEX that sent him to Blackwater.
Tungcab is set to make his Converge debut on April 10 against Rain or Shine at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
