Morente out of Ateneo

After the decision of setter Jia Morado to not play her final year of eligibility for the UAAP, the Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles lost another integral part of their team, as opposite hitter Michelle Morente is no longer with the team.

According to multiple sources both within the team and those closely monitoring the situation, all of whom requested anonymity, Morente again had difficulty with her grades. After already being academically suspended for a year for Season 78, Morente could not afford another mishap with her grades.

The source adds that Morente has not yet decided if she will transfer to a different school but said that the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons are in talks with her.
