LVPI finally secures ITCs for PVL imports

After a heated saga that lasted nearly a month, the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference will finally have its guest players.

According to Sports Vision president Ricky Palou, Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas Inc. acting president Peter Cayco was successful in his quest to grant the country’s pioneering league its imports.

“Peter Cayco has already secured the ITCs,” said Palou.

“They can already play tomorrow.”

The 11 imports are American Jennifer Keddy and Thai Jeng Bualee for BaliPure; American Laura Schaudt and Thai Kuttika Kaewpin for Creamline; Thais Amporn Hyapha and Kannika Thipachot for the Power Smashers; Thai Patcharee Sangmuang for Air Force; Brazilian Rupia Inck and Japanese Naoko Hashimoto for Perlas; and Bosnian Edina Selimovic and American Michelle Strizak for Pocari Sweat.

Cayco had worked tirelessly to communicate with the International Volleyball Federation officials and hash out the mishap. Per a report by Spin.ph’s Rueben Terrado, Cayco had to manually work on the ITCs instead of going through the system.

This difficulty arose when it was revealed that the LVPI did not have the username and password for the ITC account needed to initiate the process. The report also states that Cayco has manually requested for a new password for the country.

Last February, it was also Peter Cayco who helped local star Alyssa Valdez secure her ITC to play for 3BB Nakornonnt in the Thailand Volleyball League.
