Jonathan Ng earns back-to-back PVL Press Corps Executive of the Year honors

Creamline’s sustained success in the Premier Volleyball League has once again put its top executive in the spotlight, as Jonathan Ng is set to be recognized for his continued influence in shaping one of the league’s most dominant franchises.

The Republic Biscuit Corporation Group Vice Chairman and CEO will receive the Executive of the Year award for the second straight season at the 2nd PVL Press Corps Awards Night on May 30 at Novotel Manila Araneta City in Cubao.

Ng earned the distinction after topping the selection process with a combined score from team coaches, captains, and members of the volleyball media pool, finishing ahead of contenders Jude Turcuato of PLDT and Frank Lao of ZUS Coffee.

His back-to-back recognition further underscores his long-standing role in building Creamline into a perennial contender since the league’s professional era began.

Under his stewardship, the Cool Smashers have become synonymous with winning—but the past season tested that reputation more than usual.PVL-AFC-26-Finals-G2-Creamline-vs.-Cignal-Creamline-3394 Jonathan Ng earns back-to-back PVL Press Corps Executive of the Year honors News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

Creamline endured a rare dip in form, finishing with bronze medals in both the PVL on Tour and Invitational Conference before suffering a major setback in the Reinforced Conference, where it placed sixth and saw its remarkable 19-conference semifinal streak come to an end.

Despite the struggles, the organization maintained its stability and direction, sticking to its core leadership group and trusting the process amid questions surrounding the team’s form.

That patience eventually paid off.

Reinforced by key veterans such as Jia De Guzman, Jema Galanza, Bernadeth Pons, and Dij Rodriguez, Creamline regained its championship rhythm in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference. The squad battled through tight knockout matches before completing a two-game sweep of Cignal to secure its 11th league title.

Even as the league continues to evolve with rising contenders and shifting rosters, Creamline’s resurgence once again highlighted the foundation built under Ng’s leadership—one that continues to anchor the franchise’s place at the top of the PVL hierarchy.
