Since their days as the Philips Gold Lady Slammers, Pocari Sweat has tagged and treated Myla Pablo as a franchise cornerstone.
Alongside Pocari Sweat mainstays Michele Gumabao and Melissa Gohing, Pablo stuck with the team through thick and thin, through wins and losses, and a jump to another league.
Now, Pablo rejoices after anchoring the Lady Warriors to their second straight Shakey’s V-League championship.
Which is big because Pablo wasn’t seen as a winner coming out of her college career. Pablo skippered National University in her final season, the most hyped season for the Lady Bulldogs in program history. National University, unfortunately, suffered from intra-squad squabbles and fell out of the Final Four race after a promising start.
Now a Finals MVP and four-time SVL champion, Pablo has found a new home and group of people who put their full trust in her.
And Pablo gives them one of the best years of her volleyball career.
Masasabi ko na mas matamis talaga ‘tong pangalawa,” the 23-year old open hitter said.
