Cedrick Manzano powered Quezon Province with a breakout all-around performance as the Huskers opened Friday’s 2026 MPBL slate with an 84-75 win over Meycauayan-Marilao on Friday at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.
Manzano led the way with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals, anchoring Quezon’s composure down the stretch as the game tightened in the final minutes.
The Gems threatened late, cutting a 73-74 deficit after a Shawn Argente triple and two free throws from Agem Miranda with 2:52 remaining.
But Quezon answered with a decisive 10-0 run to shut the door.

The duo helped Quezon secure its strong start to the season.
Meycauayan-Marilao slid to a 2-3 slate despite Miranda’s 18 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Argente contributed 15 points, four rebounds, five steals, and three assists, while Jayson Apolonio chipped in 11 points in the loss.
