After dropping a close and some might say controversial split decision loss in Abu Dhabi, reigning URCC Lightweight Champion Will Chope looks to bounce back in Singapore on Friday, June 10.
12 days removed from the loss against Akop Stepanyan, Will “The Kill” Chope (31-10) returns to the squared circle in facing debuting Indonesian fighter Budi Kalbar in the main event of Singapore Fighting Championship’s Next Chapter fight card.
Chope had strung together three straight wins, even copping URCC gold, before falling to Stepanyan last May 24. Looking to stay busy, the top ranked lightweight in Southeast Asia will risk it all in Singapore against an opponent that has everything to gain and nothing to lose.
This will be Chope’s fifth mixed martial arts bout in 2016, his 42nd bout since making his debut in August of 2010.
