Pocari Sweat’s Pablo to miss next 2 games due to injury

A freak injury forces one half of Pocari Sweat’s Smash Sisters to sit-out the next two games.

During Pocari Sweat’s Tuesday night practice at the Arellano Gym in Manila, Myla Pablo suffered a back injury after a wrong landing just as the practice was about to end according to Lady Warriors team manager Eric Ty.

“Nagkaroon ng temporary paralysis si Myla for 30 minutes. No feelings sa legs,” Ty told Tiebreaker Times. “But she was able to walk after so no spinal damage.”

Pablo had to be rushed to the Delos Santos Hospital in Quezon City for further testing. The doctors diagnosed that the open hitter suffered a lower back spasm. Moreover, she was advised to take a rest until she fully recovers.

Fortunately, Pablo was discharged from the hospital at around 10:30 in the evening last night. “We want her to be fully recovered before returning,” Ty added.

The former Lady Bulldog will miss Pocari Sweat’s match-ups against the Baguio Summer Spikers on Saturday, June 11 and their game against the Iriga City Lady Oragons a week later.

Former CSB Lady Blazer Rossan Fajardo will get the starting nod for Pocari Sweat in lieu of Pablo.
