After testing the waters with its inagurual 3-on-3 women’s basketball tournament throughout the Philippine Cup, the PBA is back, with another staging of the tournament in the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup.
New faces, including La Salle Lady Archer Ara Abaca, who has completed her collegiate career last year, headline the tournament.
National team veterans like Cindy Resultay, Raiza Palmera-Dy, and Analyn Almazan will also see action.
Defending champions Blackwater have an intact lineup, with Camille Sambile, Allana Lim, and France Cabinbin back. Palmera-Dy completes the four-woman lineup, replacing Camilla Escoto from last conference.
Semi-finalists NLEX are also back, with their core of Angelica Ortega, Fria Bernardo, and Katherine Sandel. Almazan completes the cast, giving the team more ceiling.
Ginebra, another semi-finalist last conference, kept Mix Bautista, Angeli Gloriani, and MJ Galicia, with only Banjo Soriano the new member.
NLEX’s former player Anna Buendia is now with Mahindra, joining hands with Cindy Resultay.
