In a week of standout performances, Jorem Morada’s performance stood brightest amongst all in leading the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals in a monumental win over the Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL) Knights Friday afternoon.
After averaging just a paltry 3.80 points, 2.40 rebounds and 1.80 assists entering the Letran game, Morada’s guns went ablaze firing his season-high 18 points he lighted by five booming triples. Morada shone the brightest in the fourth quarter when he unleashed a 12-point barrage he highlighted a clutch four-point play that practically dashed the Knights’ hopes of a first round sweep. He spiked his effort with ten rebounds, three assists and a steal to help EAC nail a second straight win after starting the season with five losses in row.
What made the performance more special was that the game against Letran came exactly on a day his family was observing the first death anniversary of his late mother, Lilanie. “Inaalay ko ang laro na ito sa kanya,” said Morada after the game.
