Zico tapped by Cambodian team BURN X FLASH

Cambodian squad BURN X FLASH officially announced the signing of Filipino head coach John “Zico” Dizon, Saturday morning.

Zico left Nexplay EVOS after two seasons to hone his craft outside of the country.

He led the resurgence of the famous Filipino squad, steering them to a fourth-place finish — the highest in franchise history — back in MPL Philippines Season Eight.

Nexplay EVOS then encountered major bumps in Season Nine which saw them finish at 5th to 6th place.

Zico is the second Filipino MLBB head coach to handle a team overseas since Francis “Duckey” Glindro served as a trailblazer in 2019 and coached REVO in Indonesia before transferring to EVOS Legends as deputy.

Burn X Flash is composed of XEON, C CAT, ATM, Fury, and D7.

They were coming off a fourth-place finish in the MPL Cambodia Spring 2022. The team lost to Team Max, 2-3, in the battle for third.
