After a stellar five season run, Paul “Yeb” Miranda and Fnatic ONIC have parted ways.
In a heartfelt message posted on their social media pages, Fnatic ONIC expressed gratitude for the leadership and guidance Coach Yeb provided over the past five seasons.
“Today, we say goodbye to an incredible leader, mentor, and strategist—Coach Yeb. Under his guidance, Fnatic ONIC reached new heights, from refining our plays to inspiring resilience in every team member. Coach Yeb didn’t just bring strategies to the table—he brought heart, passion, and a vision that united us in every match we fought,” the post read.
“Your dedication and unwavering belief in us will always be part of Fnatic ONIC’s journey. You’ve taught us to rise above challenges, push our limits, and believe in the power of teamwork. As you embark on your next chapter, know that your legacy remains with us, and we’ll always carry forward the lessons you’ve instilled,” the team continued.
Arriving in Indonesia as an import for Season 10, Yeb became the driving force behind the Sonics’ dynasty, leading the team to an impressive four consecutive championships in MPL Indonesia.
Their reign, however, came to an end in Season 14, where they faced tough competition in the play-ins and were ultimately eliminated by fellow Filipino import Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy’s Geek Fam ID in a tense 2-3 series, finishing in 5th-6th place.
In addition to the four consecutive MPL ID championships, Yeb also led Fnatic ONIC to international victories, including titles in the MPL Invitational 2022, MSC 2023, and Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 SEA – Challenge Finals.
The 34-year-old veteran coach also guided ONIC ID to back-to-back appearances in the M4 and M5 world championships, where they finished fourth and second, respectively.
“Thank you, Coach, for everything. Best of luck in your future endeavors—you’ll always be part of the Fnatic ONIC family 💛🖤.”
