Work moved a point away from number one seed Aura PH in Group B — posting 13 points through a 4-3 win-loss record.
Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico spearheaded the 24-13 Game One victory of Work Auster Force, putting up eight kills and 10 assists against three deaths playing Benedetta. He was named the Smart MVP in the opener.
Meanwhile, it was Dylan “Unravel” Catipon’s Mathilda who stole the show in the 9-5 Game Two win.
The rookie tank dished out eight assists along with two deaths en route to the Smart MVP award.
Clarense “Kousei” Camilo (Benedetta) also made his presence felt in the series-clincher, dominating his lane match up against Bryan “Janus” Badando (Chang’e). He ended up with two kills, a death, and three assists.
Work core Daniel “Chuuu” Chu (Yi Sun-Shin) finished with five kills and three assists against two deaths while support Patrick “rTzy” Ibarra (Harith), had two kills and five assists against a death.
Cignal was coming off a 1-2 loss against ONIC PH. The squad now dropped to a 0-7 standing in the same group with three points.
Cignal looks to end its slump against the league-leading Blacklist International on Sunday at 3:00 pm, while Work Auster Force will face Aura PH tomorrow also at 3:00 pm.
