Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez was very vocal on his desire to play the jungler position ever since his release from Aura PH.
And he could not thank the Execration organization enough for giving him the opportunity to play his dream role.
After roaming the side lanes for almost four seasons now, the 16-year-old Kielvj finally made his much-anticipated switch to the middle lane.
And to no surprise, he did it with flying colors.
“Sobrang saya kasi debut game ko ‘yun bilang core e, tapos panalo pa.
“Kasi nung dati ‘di naman talaga ako midlane. Bihira lang talaga,” Kielvj told Tiebreaker Times.
Kielvj, one of the most mechanically-skilled players in the country, fit perfectly in the role. He had five kills and five assists against two deaths playing Claude in Execration’s Game One win against Omega Esports.
The pride of Dasmariñas, Cavite then put on the exclamation mark on the Smart-backed squad with a perfect Ling performance. He registered a perfect 8-0-7 kill-death-assist tally to lead the 2-0 sweep against the Season Six grand finalist.
But what really made his debut to remember was beating Omega’s Salic “Hadjizy” Imam, whom he considers as the second-best core in the country — following, of course, BREN Esports’ Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno.
“Masaya kasi ‘yung tinalo ko pa is pangalawa sa pinakamalakas mag-core, dahil top two sila nung Season Six,” he explained.
Kielvj takes it as a challenge as he tries and keeps up with the top-tier cores of the country. And with his head-to-head match-up with Hadjizy going in his favor, Kielvj is definitely heading straight in the right direction.
“Masaya din ‘yung adjustment kasi simula nung nag-mid ako parang challenge ‘yun e, kung malakas ba talaga ako mag-ML at kung kakayanin ko ba makipag-sabayan sa top tier core.”
