MPL PH: Kusey explodes as RSG sweeps MINANA

RSG Philippines relied on the brilliance of Clarense “Kousei” Camilo to break a three-game skid with a 2-0 sweep of MINANA Evos in Week 3 of the MPL Philippines Season 13 on Friday at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

The Raiders improved to 2-3 with seven points, securing the fifth spot in the standings, while MINANA suffered their fourth straight loss, settling for four points with a 1-4 win-loss record.

The holy week break seemed to work wonders for Coach Brian “Panda” Lim’s team, providing enough time to address the issues resulting in their three consecutive losses.

“My whole focus point for the past two weeks was I tried maraming drafts sa scrim. And I also kept giving them feedbacks regarding sa gameplay,” he explained.

“Instead of reacting to what enemies are doing lagi, let’s make a plan and let the enemy react. And then we just focused sa objective team fights. Still kulang pa pero more malinis yung mga team fight para sa objective game nila today.”

Game 1 was a closely contested affair until Kusey (Natan) scored a double kill during the 14th-minute lord fight, sparking RSG’s 4-0 wipe along with securing the lord. The Raiders wasted no time and executed a game-winning base turret siege in the following sequence, taking the opener 1-0. Kusey earned the MVP citation with a phenomenal 7-1-4 KDA.

In Game 2, RSG dominated the match from the early game and relied on Kusey’s (Karrie) double kill during the 21st-minute lord fight to secure a game-winning 5-1 wipe for the sweep.

RSG will next face TNC Pro Team on Saturday, April 6.
