There will be three Filipino teams on the Asia-Pacific group stage.
Rex Regum Qeon has advanced to the group stage after sweeping Ghetto Artist, 2-0 on the final day of the play-ins of the Valorant Champions Tour Asia-Pacific Stage 2: Challengers Playoffs.
RRQ clinched the final group stage slot in Game Two at Split with a 13-9 come-from-behind victory.
Ghetto was looking to force a deciding match, leading 8-4 at the end of the half in Rex Regum’s map pick.
But it was in the second half when the Filipinos decided to finish the series early with a 9-1 dominating run started by James “2ge” Goopio’s (Skye) clutch in round 13.
In round 22, Nathaniel “Nexi” Cabero’s Cypher had another day in the office, with yet again another clutch, clinching the series.
Nexi finished the series with a series-high 21 kills, while Kelly “kellyS” Sedillo’s Raze added 18 markers.
In Map One (Breeze) RRQ had a dominating opener, ending with a 13-3 win.
Rex Regum Qeon will join Team Secret and Oasis Gaming in the group stage on June 13.
