Three Philippines Football League teams can go ahead with their restart.
United City, Kaya-Iloilo, and Stallion-Laguna are set to return to the pitch on Wednesday, beginning their prep for the upcoming 2020 Qatar Airways PFL Season at the PFF Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
“It’s open, so open wind siya, and it’s not only one pitch we are looking at. Sa Carmona, apat naman. Meron tayong malaking football area na official size and then ‘yung mga mini-pitch,” shared PFL commissioner Coco Torre during the PSA Forum, which is powered by Smart, presented by San Miguel Corp., Go For Gold, MILO, Amelie Hotel Manila, Braska Restaurant, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and has Upstream Media as its webcast partner.
“Sa totoo lang, puwedeng twenty players at the same time.”
“The players in each club has its own responsibility to make sure that the players are following safety protocols,” added PFF president Nonong Araneta.
Reemphasizing the health protocols to team officials and players is the agenda of the league’s meeting with the Games and Amusement Board later in the day.
GAB has allowed the resumption of practices of leagues PFL, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3, and PBA.
The PFL is looking at an October return.
But in order for that to happen with no delays, players must maintain discipline at all costs.
“‘Yung special instruction is due diligence.
“‘Yung ginagawa namin amidst the pandemic, ‘yun pinaka-importante dito is sundin talaga nila ‘yung instructions, because cooperation is vital on what we are trying to achieve,” stressed the youthful commissioner.
