In one of the most high-profile import signings in recent memory, the TNT Katropa have tapped the services of former NBA pro Terrence Jones as their import for the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Team insiders have confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
Moreover, the 6-foot-9 stretch big man was on top of the wishlist of TNT consultant Mark Dickel.
“Siya talaga yung gusto ni Coach Dickel,” one of Tiebreaker Times’ sources said.
After two stellar years at the Kentucky University, Jones was selected as the 18th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets.
He played with the Rockets, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Jones would also play in China and multiple G-League teams.
The native of Portland, Oregon is an NCAA champion, and was part of the 2018 NBA G League International Challenge.
Last year, TNT finished third in the Commissioner’s Cup with Jeremy Tyler (four games) and Joshua Smith splitting duties. The Katropa were eliminated by the San Miguel Beermen in the quarterfinals.
