Team Liquid PH retains championship core for MPL PH 14

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

Defending champion Team Liquid PH has retained its championship core for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 14.

Hall of Legends inductee and two-time world champion Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, M4 Finals MVP Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, MPL Philippines Season 11 and 13 Finals MVP Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, Alston “Sanji” Pabico, and Jaypee “Jaypee” Cruz will once again be the starters for the team.

Meanwhile, Justine “Zaida” Palma will assume the role of the team’s sole substitute following Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar’s decision to join Blacklist International.

Leading the team is coach Ronnel “CJay” Espinoza, who served as the team’s analyst last season and during the MSC 2024.

CJay first coached ECHO Proud during MDL Philippines Season 2, where they finished second in the development league.

The reigning MPL Philippines champions are focused on retaining their title and securing a slot in the M-series.
